Dental Hygiene

We like to help teach you how to keep your mouth, teeth, and gums healthy and clean to prevent disease. Dental hygiene is often taken for granted but provides an essential part of preventing tooth decay, gum disease, or other problems down the line.

The most important part of hygiene is home care. 95% of preventing periodontal (gum) disease is making sure to remove all of the soft stuff (plaque) from your teeth every day. Nobody is perfect, it's recommended that people without gum disease return every 6 months for a checkup and cleaning. If gum disease is or was previously present, the frequency for hygiene visits is often every 3 or 4 months.
